I've had a built tranny sitting in storage for quite a while. In the last week or so, another member called asking if I had any transmissions I'd sell because he had a relative back from service in Iraq needing one immediately. I sold him the one I had, telling him that I'd not driven it myself, but giving him the information that I had about the transmission from the prior owner. I told him that if it didn't work satisfactorily, I'd pay to repair it or refund his money.
Turned out it needed some work. He took it to Jack, and because of the circumstances, Jack kindly took it fully apart that afternoon, identified what it needed, and repaired it and turned it around in two days so the guy could pick it up and get his car running so he could return to his military base. That was much appreciated by him and by me. Thanks, Jack! |
